Terms of engagement
These terms govern use of https://content-sprucefield.click and engagements with Content Sprucefield (Pty) Ltd (“we”, “us”), Emfuleni, South Africa. By using this site or commissioning guidance, you accept these terms.
Services
We provide advisory engagements such as website security assessments, hosting security reviews, monitoring guidance retainers, and incident readiness sessions. Descriptions on this site are informational. A written scope confirms deliverables, fees, and timelines for each engagement.
Acceptance
Submitting an enquiry does not create a contract. A contract forms when both parties accept a written scope or statement of work. You confirm you have authority to grant any access described in that scope.
Client responsibilities
You remain responsible for hosting accounts, CMS administration, implementing remediation, and maintaining backups. We advise; we do not assume operational control unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
Intellectual property
Reports and playbooks we create for you may be used internally within your organisation. You may not resell them. Site content, branding, and templates remain our property or that of respective owners.
Liability
Guidance reflects information available at the time of review. Security postures change. To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost revenue from downtime. Our aggregate liability for an engagement is limited to fees paid for that engagement.
Confidentiality
We treat credentials and findings as confidential and do not retain panel passwords after an engagement closes, except where required for an active retainer and agreed in writing.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Courts with jurisdiction in Gauteng shall hear disputes that cannot be resolved amicably.
